Who We Are

Erris Youth Disability Network is a vibrant and empowering organization dedicated to supporting and connecting young people with disabilities in the Erris region. We provide a platform for young individuals to build friendships, share experiences, access information, and develop essential life skills. Driven by the voices and needs of our members, we strive to create an inclusive and supportive community where young people with disabilities feel valued, understood, and empowered to reach their full potential. We actively work to break down barriers, challenge stigma, and promote a positive understanding of disability within the wider Erris community, ensuring that young people with disabilities have the opportunities and support they need to thrive.

Our Programs & Services

At Erris Youth Disability Network, we are dedicated to providing a range of programs and services designed to support, connect, and empower young people with disabilities in the Erris region. Our initiatives are shaped by the needs and aspirations of our members and aim to foster an inclusive and supportive community where they can thrive.

Youth Social Club: We host regular social gatherings and events where young people with disabilities can connect with peers, build friendships, and participate in fun and engaging activities.
Peer Mentoring Program: Our peer mentoring program pairs young members with experienced mentors who can offer guidance, support, and share their own experiences.
Skills Development Workshops: We organize workshops and training sessions on topics such as independent living skills, self-advocacy, communication, and accessing further education or employment.
Information and Resource Hub: We provide accessible information and resources on disability rights, local support services, educational opportunities, and potential career pathways.
Youth Voice Initiatives: We create platforms for young members to share their experiences, express their views, and actively participate in shaping the direction of our network and advocating for their needs within the wider community.
